Dara was teaching 20 students from a under privileged village in Cambodia under a thatched roof in the old war memorial, they have since been asked to leave as it is closing down.
The local village from where the children reside have found an old structure for him to continue teaching from.
It is not much, but it has a water proof roof (the last one leaked over the children when it rained) & can be fixed up.
The children don't mind, they are happy to learn.
These children would not otherwise get an education, with most families not being able to afford school fees, some children would have to work to help earn income for the household.
Dara was left with aunts and grandparents as a child, because his parents couldn't afford to keep him & send to school.
He finished high school in 2014, and then got a job in Angkor Bodhi Tree working with Margo and Stephen (an Australian couple, who still fund Daras income so he can teach and finish University). and studied in the evening at university. Dara earns $100 US per month.
He started to teach 20 children at war remnant museum on March 20, 2017.
