Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:
When can I expect my package?
Depends on the product you buy on Conscious Choice Culture. As you will be aware some of the products are sent directly from the Artisans themselves.
We ask our Artisans to post each product within 4 working days of your order.
Where the product is a special order they need more time, as they have to make the item for you.
Time frames for special orders vary & will be communicated to you shortly after you have placed your order.
Depending on the type of shipment you choose (standard or express) packages normally take 10 - 21 days to reach you.
Not all sellers will be able to provide tracking info but we will keep you informed when your product is on its way.
Why are there so many different shipping costs?
All products are shipped from the artisan’s location and they have their own way of shipping the products to you.
They can use local post services or international courier services. Or may be able to deliver it to you personally, depending on the product and your location, naturally.
How is the price of a product set up?
Artisans set their own prices. Whenever a product is being sold we deduct our commission (5-15%) and transfer the remaining amount directly to the Artisan.
Shipping costs are calculated by each artisan and are based on their location, your location and the type of service offered.
We don’t charge any commission on the shipping cost.
The artisans base their price on the value of their time and the craftsmanship that goes into creating each individually handmade piece.
How do I pay?
You can pay via the site with PayPal using most credit cards, bank transfer is available or in person if you are in the location.
There’s something wrong with the package I received. What do I do now?
We carefully select our couriers and artisans and ensure they both are of high quality and work closely with each one of them to ensure they send the right product, wrap it carefully and handle it appropriately so that it won’t damage on the way.
If you’re not happy with what you received because it is not what you ordered, the amount you ordered is different from what you received or it is damaged please do let us know.
Can I talk directly to the Artisan?
You can, we hope you do.
Email us with your contact details and we will ask the Artisan to get in contact with you directly.
I've changed my mind. Can I return the item?
Of course we hope that that won’t happen and that you absolutely love what you bought.
Our guiding regulation is that all sales through Conscious Choice Culture are final and cannot be returned unless the Artisan has specifically said so.

We also expect the artisan on Conscious Choice Culture to send you what you have ordered.
If you feel that is not the case, please contact us so that we can work with you and the artisan to resolve the matter.
I haven’t received my package. Do you know where it might be?
That’s not what we want.

Depending on the type of shipment you choose (standard or express) packages can take 10 - 21 days to reach you.
If you bought the product (much) longer ago you may want to get in touch with us.
The product looks slightly different & has imperfections
We carefully select our products & artisans and ensure they both are of high quality and work closely with each one of them to ensure the handmade products are made with care and consistency.
However, our products are handmade & in some cases from recycled material & others from natural fibers, so it is important to remember that there will at times be imperfections.
